A very much needed refresh for 2017, my site has seen a brand new makeover to grow with my evolving personal brand. Fresh, bright colors. A new domain name - no longer serenefiberarts.com - now amandajfrench.com. Hope you guys like it!
Something I plan to do this year is blog semi-regularly. It's something I really enjoy, but has been put to the back-burner as I've been in somewhat of a creative rut since 2016. Slowly recovering and trying to implement more excitement into my creating and do things that feel more authentic to me, to prevent burnout.
I've been running my own business since 2012, and have seen many ups and downs over the years. I'm trying to not let myself get swept under the rug, and reach out to share my love of creating. As someone used to keeping to herself, this is definitely a work in progress for me. I tend to retreat back into hermit mode when I become overwhelmed or things happen too fast.
As the years go by and my business evolves, I hope to continue to grow and learn to be a better artist and person.
Coming up with blog ideas is a bit tough for me, since I'm not sure what people really want to read about. What can I offer you? What do I do that you want to know more about?
I'm open to topic suggestions (leave a comment here on this post so I can find it). Anything I can ramble on and explain about. My brain doesn't exactly work in a step-by-step manner that'd be good for tutorials. I'm someone who'd rather inspire than teach. Everything I've learned along the way has been through trial and error, constant experimentation. I don't have any one way of doing anything. But I'd be happy to share what knowledge or perspective that I can.
I already have some weaving product reviews in the works - so stay tuned!
